PENGASSAN Directs Indefinite Strike Action to Begin Tuesday
Testy Gossip: The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has announced that its members will commence an indefinite strike starting Tuesday.
The union said the decision followed unresolved issues with the government and relevant stakeholders despite repeated engagements. It noted that the strike action had become necessary to press home its demands, which center on the welfare of workers and the implementation of key agreements previously reached.
According to PENGASSAN, all its branches across the country have been directed to fully comply with the industrial action until further notice.
The development is expected to have significant implications for Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, with possible disruptions to operations and fuel supply nationwide.
