DSS Orders Facebook to Remove Sowore’s Posts Critical of Tinubu

Testy Gossip: The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly directed social media giant Facebook to take down posts made by activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, which were deemed critical of President Bola Tinubu.

According to sources, the DSS accused Sowore of using his Facebook page to spread what it described as “false and inciting” information against the presidency. The agency insisted that the removal of such content was necessary to prevent potential unrest.

Sowore, however, dismissed the development, saying it is an attempt to silence dissent and curtail free speech in Nigeria. He vowed to continue using social media platforms to speak against what he described as “bad governance and anti-people policies.”
