Resign if Tinubu doesn’t listen to you – Ozekhome tells AGF Fagbemi
Testy Gossip Renowned constitutional lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), has advised the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), to consider resigning if President Bola Tinubu consistently disregards his legal counsel.
Ozekhome made this statement while stressing the importance of the AGF’s office in upholding the rule of law and defending Nigeria’s democratic values. According to him, the Attorney General should not remain in office if his advice and professional input are repeatedly ignored by the president.
He further noted that the AGF, as the chief law officer of the federation, carries the heavy responsibility of ensuring that government actions remain within the boundaries of the constitution.
Ozekhome’s remarks come amid growing debates on governance, constitutional breaches, and the role of justice institutions under the current administration.
