President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that Nigeria has successfully met its revenue target, assuring citizens that the Federal Government will no longer resort to borrowing locally to finance its operations.

Speaking on the achievement, Tinubu attributed the milestone to improved fiscal discipline, diversification of revenue sources, and stronger performance in the non-oil sector. He emphasized that the development marks a turning point in Nigeria’s economic strategy, aimed at reducing the country’s dependence on debt financing.

The President noted that funds generated will be channeled into critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, and education, while ensuring transparency and accountability in public spending.

This declaration comes amid ongoing efforts to stabilize Nigeria’s economy, boost investor confidence, and foster sustainable growth.
